Two Islands Ice Cream opened in Spring 2018, with a few basic intentions - to make everything from scratch, and to use the best quality and locally sourced ingredients we could find.

The idea for the parlour was conceived during a trip through the West Coast of California. We visited ice cream shops unlike what we'd seen at home, where the ice cream was stored in deep dipping counters out of sight from the customer. Unlimited tasters ensured you picked the right flavour, with no artificial colours and stabilisers holding the ice cream in stiff peaks to draw you in. Just a intriguing menu where each flavour is individual and original. It's this experience we aim to bring to this beautiful corner of the Llyn Peninsula.

Having made multiple batches at home rich with egg yolks and Welsh dairy, we were convinced we didn't need to use commercial stabilisers in our

ice cream. This was an unconventional and expensive route to take, but one we

were certain of. We believe this method makes our signature base

particularly rich and creamy.

We hope you agree.

Unlike the majority of other ice cream parlours, we also make all the inclusions, from ripples and caramels to brownie chunks and shortbread pieces. Occasionally we highlight confectionary from other producers, when we feel they're making something that's truly worth shouting about.

We make our ice cream in small batches, and during summer months we are producing every day to keep our counter stocked (you'll see this happening through the window to our production kitchen). We are always open to suggestions so please pop in or drop us a line with your dream flavour!
